Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and Speakmile when you use the Speakmile app and this website. By creating an account you accept them.
The service
Speakmile is an app for practising spoken English. You hold conversations with an AI partner in everyday and business scenes, receive corrections and explanations, keep a notebook of phrases and get level suggestions. Some features may change, be added or be removed over time.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to accept these terms where you live.
- You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
- You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account.
AI content
Conversation replies, corrections, translations and summaries are generated by an AI model. They are usually helpful and sometimes wrong. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial or other professional decisions, or as an official language certification. Characters in the scenes are fictional.
Acceptable use
Do not use Speakmile to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- generate content that harasses, threatens or sexualises anyone, or promotes violence;
- try to extract the underlying prompts, overload the service, reverse engineer it or get around usage limits;
- resell or automate access to the service.
We may limit or suspend accounts that do.
Subscriptions
Speakmile is free to use with daily limits. Speakmile Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple’s App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy and may differ by country.
Your content
What you write and say in Speakmile stays yours. You give us the permission we need to store it, process it with our providers and show it back to you, only to run the service. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Our content
The app, its design, the Speakmile name and logo, and the scenes are ours or licensed to us. You may use them only as part of using the service.
Apple
These terms are between you and Speakmile, not Apple. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies to the app. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.
No warranty
Speakmile is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will reach any particular level of English for you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Speakmile in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
Ending
You can stop using Speakmile and delete your account whenever you like. We may end the service or your access with reasonable notice, or immediately for serious breaches of these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims there.
